This is Lewelling, looking pretty in the spring with his cherry blossoms.

His role in his group is that of an oral storyteller. Dryads never developed written language of their own (and a lot of them are still illiterate even after their introduction to the writing systems of other sapients), they rely on individuals like Lewelling to memorize and re-tell their important stories and history.

Gorgeous color palette that's quite fitting for the springlike setting.

I personally thought this to be a female (looks like an elderly one to me) but oh well, very nice picture.

Dryads tend to be androgynous, so that'll happen.

Thanks!

So gorgeous!!!!

Did the cherry blossoms become as tedious as the roses in a previous piece? and since he has pink eyes matching the flowers would other dryads eyes diff flowers, like yellow eyes from a yellow dogwood for example?

The cherry blossoms approached that level of tedium but did not reach it, since it's a lot easier to draw a simple five petal flower on auto-pilot than a complex cluster like hybrid tea roses. I did sort of hate myself for deciding to detail out all those little cherry blossoms when I was half way through though. Oh artistic masochism...

Yep, Dryad's eyes match their flowers, or if there are no flowers, they match their leaves, so a Dryad bonded to a yellow dogwood in bloom would have matching yellow eyes.

do their eyes change color as their leaves do? for example, the maple siblings you've drawn before?

Yep, in the fall their eyes change along with their leaves, so the maple siblings end up with bright orange/red/yellow eyes during that time of year (not that you get to see it much since those two sleep through most of the autumn)
